Quite a Year for Plums
3 journalers for this copy...
The peculiar yet lovable people who inhabit a small town in south Georgia. Meet serious, studious Roger, the peanut pathologist and unlikely love object of half the town's women. Meet Roger's ex-mother-in-law, Louise, who teams up with an ardent typographer in an attempt to attract outer-space invaders with specific combinations of letters and numbers. And meet Della, the bird artist who captivates Roger with the sensible but enigmatic notes she leaves on things she throws away at the Dumpster.
Sending to the winner of the Culinary sweepstakes. Congratulations!
The book has arrived. I am the lucky decoy.

This one is not plot driven, but I am pleasantly entertained by the set of eccentric yet endearing characters.

Journal Entry 5 by lils74 at Kathmandu, Bagmati (incl. Kathmandu Valley) Nepal on Sunday, December 13, 2020
This book arrived safely in Kathmandu last week; I am only able to journal it today because I've had some issues with getting locked out of the site. Thank you so much for sending it so far, lauraloo29; it looks like a fun, gentle sort of read and I am looking forward to reading it.
