I just picked up On Beauty at the Velocity Cafe a couple of days ago. I've been meaning to read one of Zadie Smith's novels for awhile so this seems like a great opportunity.
I read about half this book. The set up and characters were entertaining but by half way through it seemed that the story was meandering and I wasn't gripped enough to stick with it. All that said, I encourage someone else to pick it up. It is now back at the Velocity Cafe in Santa Monica where I first picked it up.
