I remember watching this movie over and over and over and over when I was young. I'm sure my parents were sick of it, we rented it every time we went to the video store. So when I found the book, I bought it with hopes that it, like so many other books that have been turned into movies, would prove better than the movie. I was not disappointed.
It's a story that's deep with allegory, shedding light on the prism human spirit, and casting a rainbow of the many colors of love. It is story about how this light of truth and love can cause the dark fortresses of fear and depression to crumble to the sea. And the unicorn, an eternal and universal symbol of utmost purity, is the center of the story.
