*Lord of the Flies: A Novel
4 journalers for this copy...
I've read this two times for school, wathcing the film of it twice as well. Both times I've enjoyed it. On the second reading, though, I was able to read into the book, giving it more meaning and depth!!! A classic!!!
being mailed to lucycat today!
What a speedy Atlantic crossing!
I frequently feel like everyone except me read this book at school, and as I haven't seen the film either (still can't do that 'watch the movie THEN read the book' thing, has to be the other way round for me :O)), it's not too late for me to give it a whirl.
Thanks so much to the lovely bflybabe for passing this on to me...as promised, when I've read it I will journal again, and then either pass it on to another BookCrosser or release it into the wild. :O)
Update 28/04/04
A mere year later...
I just finished reading this today...very powerful, and very, very bleak. I felt quite depressed reading it, but I'm still glad I did. Now I understand what all the fuss is about! :O)

Picked up at Leeds Meet. I haven't read this since studying it at high school and well worth a re-read I think. The artwork from the front cover is particularly eyecatching as well, think pagan greenmanchildish.
Release planned for Saturday, July 17, 2004 at BCUK 2004 Unconvention @ Apres Bar, Summerrow in Birmingham, England Controlled Releases.
Offered up to the good BCUK folk gathering this weekend.
