All the things I've ever found tiresome about Neal Stephenson come to an ugly head in this book. The Diamond Age is one of my favorite books of all time, but I hated this novel: too long, no ending, poor characterization, too much jargon. Some of my friends, however, have loved it, so here's hoping it finds a happier home elsewhere.
