Again, I did a bit of clearing out at my parents' this weekend and I found this, that I read many, many years ago. Perhaps a little morbid, but this is a collection of stories about how a lot of people died - for your entertainment. The basic idea is that they died in such stupid ways that they did us a favour by removing their genes from the genepool.

Lots of snippet stories to read. One I remember was about a guy renovating his bathroom. He'd taken the old bathtub out, and his son and his son's friend decided to use it as a boat. So they took it to the river, hopped in and set sail. Except it was too heavy, and the water started sloshing in over the sides... and how do you get the water out of a bath tub? Yep, they pulled the plug out.

Caught at the December BC Meetup in York.

Much as the concept of this book does make me feel a little uncomfortable and seems a little morbid to me too, like everyone who picks this up I guess, I have to admit to a certain fascination nonetheless...

Well, this has sat on my shelves for a while - and, to be honest, looking at it again, I'm not really all that interested in it anymore.

Planning to take it back to this evening's BC Meetup in York, to see if anyone else there would like to read it instead...

Oh dear, yes it's morbid but some of the ways people manage to kill themselves are laught out loud funny.
