These are such super books. So different to anything else I've ever read and I can't help smiling while reading. I read this one quite quickly as a diversion from a heavy classic I've been struggling with. It was really refreshing.

The main characters have such a lovely outlook on life and the cases Mma Ramotswe picks up are interesting and dealt with in her own special way. They remind me so much of visiting Tanzania a few years ago though I appreciate that Botswana is much superior to most other African nations. ;-)

This is now off to follow the 1st book on a spiral to:

Enjoy!!

The book arrived here today, thanks candy-is-dandy. I'm looking forward to reading this one - I hope it lives up to the first book in the series. I'm trying to make a head start on my reading for Uni at the moment but am finding it difficult to concentrate so I may have a small break and read this book next. I'll journal it again when I've read it.

I've just this minute finished reading the book and thought I'd journal it right away. I found this book to be just as engrossing as the first in the series - I found it hard to put down. I absolutely love the characters in this series and the simplicity of their thought processes. I can't wait to see what happens next to Mma Ramotswe and her new family!

I've already PM'd the next participant and will post the book on as soon as I get an address back.

Book received with thanks! I have a busy few weeks, so it may be Nov before I get to reading it, but I'm really looking forward to relaxing in Botswana again...

Another great read. I love disappearing to Botswana through this series of books. I also really like the outlook on life that the characters have - it's enough to inspire me to try and be more generous in my own life. I think this is a mark of a truly great book - one that makes you think carefully about your own actions, and maybe even behave differently in the future.

Thanks for sharing!

Now PM'ing microsquid for an address...

I heartily enjoyed this book, there's such joie de vivre in his writing. I didn't much care for the (lack of) solution to the butchers problem, but the answer to the mothers question was satisfying, and also seeing how Precious' home life is developing.
Looking forward to the next one...
