'Frightening, heartbreaking and exquisitely calibrated, 'The Constant Gardener' is a profoundly moving story of a man ennobled by his wife's tragic murder, and a magnificent exploration of the dark side of unbridled capitalism.'
My boss is moving house before he retires and has given me a bag of books he's done with. So - totally not my subject interest but someone might want it!

Received in the post today. Thanks AgnesXNitt! It's much thicker than I thought it would be! Ha! Looking forward to reading it though x
This isn't the kind of book I would usually read but I heard so many good things about it when the film came out that it made me really interested in reading the book. It was an alright read - I expected it to really grip me though which it didn't. (I think that maybe has more to do with me than with the book itself though - perhaps if I'd read it at a different time, in a different mood I would've enjoyed it more?) It reminded me of a Grisham book and it was well written - especially the character of Woodrow - although the style of writing left me with no real sympathy for Justin as he seemed to be a quite detached character. The first couple of chapters were quite strange as well - I kept wondering if I'd read the blurb wrong and the book wasn't about a husbands search for his wife's killer!
Like I said, not my usual genre of book but I'm glad I've read it. Thanks for sharing AgnesXNitt!
