I picked this book back up and decided to make a birthday release of it, since no one in the Spanish department wanted it.

This book is going into my birthday bookbox. I chose it because I think it is one of Allende's best works. It really has a great under-theme of the dictatorships in Chile and Argentina, with different characters representing different classes, but you'd have to attend my Latin American Women Writers class to understand it all more fully! Enjoy!
