Commander Adam Dalgliesh is already acquainted with the Dupayne Museum in Hampstead, and with its sinister murder room celebrating notorious crimes committed in the interwar years, when he is called upon to investigate the killing of one of the trustees... Dalgliesh knows that to solve this case he has to get into the mind of a ruthless killer.
Oh, I struggled with this book... it was a meandering crime novel and definitely not the fast paced thrillers I am used to. It was good, I liked the characters but it went on and on, only to wrap up the criminal aspect rather quickly. I only stuck it out because the front cover said it was a 'Number One Best Seller' and I have a compulsion to finish what I started :)
I am sure someone else would really enjoy this book, but I won't be hunting out another PD James anytime soon.
This book will go into my availables and be up for release once I get some BC labels onto it.
