From Amazon:

This is a beautiful narration of a truly compelling story. I often sat in my car for half an hour at the end of my journey because I couldn't turn it off!

Off to Azuki from the audio VBB

I have the book but with too little time to read, I am glad to have a copy in audio! Thanks.

I read this about 3 years ago, and I liked it. I thought it would be nice to listen to the audio version.

I finished listening to this a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed listening to this story.

Returned to Azuki at the BC meeting last night. Thanks!

I listened a little bit to a copy I got from the library and then realized that this British version is different! It's read by a 12-year-old with cast members for other characters, while the American one is read by a young adult. So I am glad to get this British copy for something out of ordinary. Considering the character is 15, the voice sounds a bit young but they probably do so to closer resembles his mental ability (science apart)?

It's a quirky, creative tale of a boy who is a math genius with photographic memory, but a social disaster. When he finds a neighbour's dog murdered and get arrested by mistake, he is determined to do some detecting and find out the murderer. What he finds is a bit more than what he expected. Christopher is probably the most unusual protagonist I've read in a while and this book provides an interesting look into the brain of someone with Asperger's Syndrome.

Will reserve this for the audio vbb.

Just finished listening to this on my walk with Emma and really enjoyed the book. This is a book I might not have enjoyed reading so much but listening was fun and especially this version with the different voices.

This one is now off to Schneefee, who generously send me 4 Patricia Cornwell books. Thank you!!!:-)

good arrived in the snowy part of germany

Thank you for sending and offering the ring! It arrived three days ago, safe and sound, if a bit battered (the jacket at least). I already know Haddon's novel, liked it a lot and am very curious now to listen to it. It may take two or three weeks though, as I have just wrecked my (new!) disc drive. *blush*

This is really embarrassing. Somehow, the audio got lost in one of the stacks in my study and wasn't discovered until we moved house. Then there were five weeks without any Internet - grrr. Yesterday I tried to listen to the story, but some parts of it don't seem to work. Maybe it's my PC - there's been some trouble with that, too. I'll try once again and then send the book on its way. Schneefee - is it meant to return to you or would you like to ask for other participants in the forum?
