I guess this was entertaining enough as I kept reading but I found it predictable in parts. I can't say I found Nan a particulary likeable character - I didn't have a lot of sympathy for her trials & tribulations which were of her own making.
Nan's feelings for Kitty at first seemed quite sweet, but of course then it becomes apparent that this was no schoolgirl's crush & it was obvious how the affair was going to end. The break up of this relationship leads to Nan becoming Diane's sex-toy/slave....again this followed predictable lines.
I found the relationship between Nan & Flo the least credible of all & found the whole scenario a bit hackneyed...though reading other BCers comments on this book I think I'm in the minority here!
I'm glad I read "Affinity" before this as I don't think this would encourage me to read more by this author - I have "Fingersmith" on my TBR, it remains to be seen wether I read it or not :o)
Read as part of the 2009 ULTIMATE CHALLENGE &
the REDUCE MOUNT TBR Challenge (#73)
