Go Ask Alice

This is a classic, a harrowing tale of teenage drug abuse. Although some of the language seems a little dated (it was originally published in 1981), it is still relevant today. "Alice" talks about dieting, boys, and family in a familiar way, which makes the things which happen to her even more shocking.
My two best friends and I all read this book last summer, and we were immediately absorbed. We sat in Cait's car together and one of us would start crying or swearing. The other two would be like, "What happened? No, don't tell me!"
You won't be able to put this book down!
