Follett's first novel, where the best German spy is sent to learn the plans of the Allies for a forthcoming massive invasion. He acquires valuable information, but circumstances force him to wait before delivering his knowledge to the German command.
Follett as usual, a readable and interesting story with no particular depth. Easy to devour for light reading, which is how I treat Follett.

RELEASE NOTES:
Ha. After grabbing this from the recycling shelf @ Kamppi I realised I already know the book: my parents keep a Finnish translation of the very same novel on their shelf. I've never read this myself, though, but as the winter will be long and dark, surely The Eye of the Needle will be much appreciated when the opportune moment comes.
Also, this tome looks a lot prettier than the old Finnish copy my folks have. The cover even has golden lettering + the book came with an official BC bookmark!
Thanks again Jaakko196 for leaving it around!

RELEASE NOTES: Café
I had to give up.. there's no time and motivation for me to read this after all, because reading the Finnish translation is too tempting. In addition, there are way too many books covering my floor and on every other surface of the room so I'm just going to clean up the piles a bit and let this one slip out of my hands at the meet tonight. I'm sure it's good, though. Isn't this kind of a classic?
I just couldn't get round. Bummer.
But hey, happy reading to its new owner!

Picked this one up at yesterday's bc-meeting. I have not read anything from Ken Follet before. Let's see what his books are like
The writing style is very fluent and the book was easy to read. So I managed to finish the book even though I did not like to read those detailed descriptions on how the victims were killed.
