I love this book !
Heathcliff is such a character !
Through the book I either pity him or despise him. This can be said for others in the book.
What a great classic !
The story ends on New Year's day... Today is December, 30th, I'm almost on time ;-)
Happy New Year !
I wish you many good books !!!

Took me over a month to read this book! O_o
Hard to get through, I kept getting confused with the family tree, and of course the English is a bit difficult! And so much cruelty and tragedy...
I know that some editions of the books have footnotes translating Joseph into "proper" English, that would have been really helpful, I can't say I got everything he was saying, but I still got an idea.
Beautiful book really, I was quite surprised, I did not know much about it, I now realise.
I've been reading some threads on the Book Talk forum, there has been a readalong of the book, and it has helped me understand some parts that I did not quite get.
Thanks bilbi, it was a challenge but I'm glad I read it!

RABCK for shakeyerbooty! Enjoy!
This was waiting for me when I got home from work today, which was very lovely indeed. I'm really looking forward to reading this. Thank you so much KanaPoutz, it's very kind of you.
It took me a couple of chapters to get into this, and was initially a little disappointed that I may not like it after wanting to read it so much. However, I persevered and I am so glad that I did as I thought it was wonderful. I got hooked and really struggled to put it down. Not many of the characters in this story are particuarly likeable, but they are intriguing.
Thank you once again to KanaPoutz for sending this fabulous book my way.

Posted to Ossiefry as part of a RABCK. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for sending this to me, have been wanting to read it for a while!
I found this one hard to follow, I guess it's not the type of book to try to read when you have 2 toddlers running around your feet all the time!
As it is one of those books that you just have to read I did, but wouldn't classify it as one of my favourites.

Great great story. So much happens in 320 pages. Loved it but some of the characters are the most brutal and horrible I have ever read.
Cannot recommend enough.
Waiting on an address and it will be on its way.

Got this in the post today (YES! on a Sunday!!!) It is a RABCK from the very kind DisneyFreakSam to grant a wish on my list. Thank you very much, I look forward to reading it.
I really don’t know why this book is so highly regarded. I didn’t enjoy it. It’s full of characters I couldn’t have cared less about, especially the awful Heathcliff and Catherine (senior). They really deserved each other. Their nonsense messed up the lives of everyone around them.
