Hmmmm. I picked the book up this morning and resolved to give it the old college try. Since I am not a fan of true crime books, I thought the author gave the character an interesting twist as a journalist and author of a sensationalist true crime book.

I didn't care for Charlie one bit, as the hard-biting, pushy aspect of his personality reminded me of two men in my life who are exactly the same way. Watching Molly's attempt to not become defensive or offended by his bribery tactics and controlling manuevers to route her away from the story of his dead first wife really got under my skin.

I skipped ahead to find out --- SPOILER AHOY ----

.. about the death of the second wife, Georgia. In all, I wasn't enjoying what I was reading, so I put it down again. I'll pass it along in hopes the next finder enjoys it more than I did.
