The Final Inspector Morse novel . As usual a great read. What I would love to know is, did Colin Dexter allow Morse to die because he knew John Thaw the actor who played Morse in the TV series was in failing heath. The remorseful day was published in 2000 , John Thaw played the final role in 2001 and died himself in 2002.
