Feel free to enjoy the book and pass it along to a friend, neighbor, family member or co-worker, or simply leave it somewhere for another lucky reader to enjoy as you did! Book Description:

Hilarious and warmhearted, this "deliciously addictive" (Cosmopolitan) debut romantic comedy stars a woman who goes from doormat to diva when she sets up shop as the ultimate freelance girlfriend.

Melissa Romney-Jones can bake a perfect sponge cake, type her little heart out, and plan a party blindfolded. But none of that has helped her get far in life or in love. When she gets fired -- again -- she decides to market her impeccable social skills to single men. To avoid embarrassing her father, a Member of Parliament, Melissa dons a blond wig and becomes Honey, a no-nonsense bombshell who helps clueless bachelors shop, entertain, and navigate social minefields. She even attends parties if a client needs a "date." But when a dashing American starts to request Honey's services on a regular basis, it's only a matter of time before Honey's and Melissa's worlds collide....

I went to a yard sale on Saturday and wanted to buy this one, but the lady just told me to take it! I took a few others as well, since she said they were going to give away anything that didn't sell. Wow! Free books! The book looks really good! Sort of like something Sophie Kinsella would write!

I will offer it as a Bookring when I finish reading it!

Journal Entry 3 by JennyC1230 from Woodstock, Georgia USA on Friday, November 2, 2007
This book was really good! Similar to Bridget Jones and Sophie Kinsella's characters. The Melissa Romney-Jones character has a wacky family. They all take advantage of her. Her idea to create a business based on her helping men with things like: new wardrobe, dates, new haircuts, buying presents for family members and employees, organizing parties, etc. All the things many men are not so great with, especially when they are single! (Of course, many of the people think the dates come with fringe benefits!)

The author has a really good sense of humor! This is my favorite quote from the book: "The vicar looked as if Daddy had just exposed himself to the choir and asked if there were any takers."

I loved this book! I hope that they make a movie out of this or even a TV series. Fabulous!
I can't wait to read the next one in this series: Little Lady, Big Apple

Finished the book last night. It was a fun read especially once I got further into the story. Packs a little more emotional punch than Sophie Kinsella but just as fun. I was hoping things might end a little differnely as well but there is always Little Lady Big Apple to see if things sort themselves out more to my liking. Thanks for sharing the book all. Hope to get it on its way this week.

Melissa Romney-Jones is fired from her real estate office job due to redundancy when an American firm merges with the office. She tries the escort business until she finds out what is really about. She decides to open up her own business helping men with social inadequacies find their way. She also shops, plans parties, entertains for clients and even dumps client's girlfriends.

In order not to embarrass her awful unappreciative father, Melissa becomes Honey, a blonde bombshell. Enter Jonathan the new real estate office manager. Jonathan seems to require more and more of Honey's time. In the meantime Melissa's family wants her to organize her sister's wedding.

This book was a lot of fun. Loved it

Woohoo received today and will read and pass it along, is there anyone left on the bookring to pass it to?!

Journal Entry 20 by Vapermom from Trenton, Ontario Canada on Tuesday, August 5, 2008
Surprisingly I wasn't as happy with this book as I thought I would be. I would have liked the story to focus more on the Agency and not Mel's love life and feelings for the two men. Sort of reminded me of "Hitch", that movie with Will Smith but with a female lead. I think that's why I expected it to focus more on the Agency. Her father drove me nuts through the whole book, I wanted to yell "JUST BE HAPPY FOR GOSH SAKES!!" haha

Not a bad read, I have to admit I did find it hard to put down.

Just waiting for the next person on the list to send me their address :)

What a cute story! It's quite adorable and entertaining. I'm also very pleased with the lack of unnecessary smut that many women's fiction books seem to contain. A charming read, thank you for sharing!

Received in the post yesterday and read in one evening :)
An enjoyable chick lit bubblegum read which even beat the ITV new drama 'Whitechapel' I was looking forward to watching last night! Yes, this book beat the current Rupert Penry-Jones drama :O LOL!
Not a book I would have rushed out to buy, but nonetheless one I have enjoyed.
Thanks for hosting this ring JennyC1230, and many thanks for sending onto me HunterRyu, especially for the fantastic postcard :)
PMing Solskinn for her address and will get orf as soon as possible.

What a superb read! This was so funny and easy to read. I love Melissa and all her quirks.
I just couldn't put it down, which caused a few bleary eyed mornings, but it was worth it!
I'm going to re-read it while I wait for the next participants addy!

I forgot to journal this book when it arrived. I have read it and enjoyed it tremendously. Author inserted a lot of humor. It was a totally different type of reading than most books, really keeps you reading it. Will be sending this out to the next person now.

Journal Entry 37 by spaceystacey from Bridgeton, New Jersey USA on Sunday, May 31, 2009
Received this read in the post yesterday a.m. I was so busy with yard, shopping, errands, and then relaxing at the pool that I was remiss in the journal.

I will be taking this book with me to Wildwood later on this week to read on the beach.

Journal Entry 38 by JennyC1230 at Woodstock, Georgia USA on Sunday, May 30, 2010
I believe this book is lost, spaceystacey put the status as travelling last May, and it hasn't reached NMReader, yet, so it looks as if it's been lost in the mail!

I hope everyone enjoyed reading this book!
