Forward the Foundation

The last book in Asimov's Foundation series, and the second of the two prequels. This one tells the story of how Seldon and his associates develop psychohistory after Seldon realized in the first prequel how it could be done. Like many of the Foundation books, this one is more of a collection of short stories with an underlying theme than a single novel.
In his later years, Asimov was not nearly as good as earlier, and this book is just one more example of that. His strength was never in characterization, but the stories attempt to be too much character-driven. I also got a feel that there was just too much happening on Trantor compared to what it seems like from the first Foundation books. And like with many prequels, the foreshadowing of future events gets somewhat annoying at times.

I found the book from the University. I have read the Foundation many years ago, but apparently some I had missed some parts. It was nice book. Good reading material for bus trips, but it was not so special. I have passed the book forward.
