Picked up at last nights Coventry meet.

This was a nice story of Sabine coming to death of Parsifal, her magician husband. She had known and loved him for many years but had always thought his family were dead. His mother and sister are identified of his death and are keen to get in touch with her.

Extremely kind! Thankyou very much!

The Magician's Assistant is the tale of Sabine. Sabine spent her life working with Parsifal. She also spent most of her life with Parsifal, loving him, despite the fact he was homosexual. At the beginning of the book, Parsifal dies and Sabine discovers that there is a whole lot of his history he had never told her.
The book is the discovery of that life and how Sabine tries to come to terms with his death. It's fairly depressing in places and wanders just over the line when Sabine dreams (sections which I really didn't engage with - the characters involved just didn't really feel that important to the story, despite their centrality to it) into a strange sort of fantasy but it's a reasonable read.
Will probably wild release.
