Where's My Jetpack?: A Guide to the Amazing Science Fiction Future That Never Ar
4 journalers for this copy...

From the back: Despite every World's Fair prediction, every futuristic ride at Disneyland, and the advertisements on the last page of every comic book, we are not living in the future we were promised. By now, life was supposed to be a fully automated, atomic-powered, germ-free Utopia. So where are the ray guns, the flying cars, and hoverboards that we expected? Daniel H. Wilson takes a hilarious look at the future we always imagined for ourselves. He exposes technology, spotlights existing prototypes, and reveals drawing-board plans.

I enjoyed the book and certainly learned a lot. The science behind it is very simple and easy to understand, and it's humourous without being too geeky. I love the coverart and the blue page edges which is was prompted me to pick up the book in the first place. Richard Horne you earned your cut (he's the illustrator).
