Some of the story takes place around the area where I live (Horsham) and work (Reigate/Redhill). This is a "nice", even enjoyable and touching, book but so improbable. It starts with a warm feeling that in truth is maintained throughout, but the events themselves are too incredible.

If you want to disappear for a few cosy hours in an alternative history then this is for you. Written in a very gentle and shallow style.
