When an incompetent marine biologist thinks his wife has uncovered a profitable pollution scam in the Florida Everglades, he throws her overboard a cruise liner. But she survives and, along with her rescuer, wants revenge.

It could have been an interesting plot concept, but the “laugh out loud, screwball humor” advertised by the New York Times was lost on me. OK, so I’m not into slapstick humor or page after page of graphic sexual situations, Viagra jokes, and “f” bombs.

This is the first book I've read by Carl Hiaasen, but it won't be the last! I thought the book was very amusing, and it pulled me into the story from page one. Joey was a great heroine and I really enjoyed her plot to get even with her rotten husband!:) Thanks for sharing, pinklady60!
