I really enjoyed I Am Legend especially since it didn't end the way you expected. I also liked the short story The Near departed it ended very humerously. I didn't really enjoy the rest of the short stories though.

reserving for my movie challenge

I finised the book yesterday and loved the stories in them. I still think they should have not canged the storyline in the movie, the books version was really creepy! Anyhow, thanks for sharing and I will contact the next person in line.

I was so eager to read this book! And it did not let me down. Another thumbs up for reading the book before seeing the movie :)

The short stories at the end were quite strange, and unexpected, yet enjoyable. The end of "I am Legend" came too quickly I think... I want to read it again! Alas, I am sending it to the next person on the list.
Enjoy!

This book is on it's way to TAKYAK :)

Update: I have since seen the movie, and was a little disappointed! I love Will Smith, but don't think he was right for this role... that's Hollywood.
I also think that the storyline in the book was more enjoyable; I loved the details about how he lived, how he got all his food and supplies, repaired the house, and the former relationships he had with the townspeople such as Ben Cortman, and the dog too!

I've had this book long enough and I don't think I will make it past the first few stories anytime soon, so I've contacted the next in the list.

I enjoyed the I Am Legend story and really it's the reason I joined the ray. It was a good examination of loneliness and the will to survive. I didn't expect the ending at all.

I enjoyed the book a lot more than the movie. Don't get me wrong, I really liked the movie, but the book was more scary and totally different then the movie. I was surprised by how short "I Am Legend" was and that the rest of the book was short stories. I have pm'ed hypen8 and will get this book in the mail as soon as I have a mailing address.
