This is one of my read-or-I'll-shoot recommendation books. Brilliantly constructed and written, stories weaving in and out of one another. And no, for the people who don't like short stories - it IS a real novel, not a collection of seperate tales. Will maybe write more here later but for now want to register the book to send it off to my sister-in-law in Scotland in the vague hope that a) it'll get there in time for her birthday and b) she might be intrigued enough by the registration number to look it up and get into bookcrossing herself... Oh yes, for the people who obsess about where books came from - I bought it in the beautiful shop-in-a-church bookshop in Maastricht, it's now in Doorn (both towns in the Netherlands) and is soon to be on it's way to Dunfermline.
