RELEASE NOTES:
Hidden in the old part of Barcelona is the Cemetery of Forgotten Books, a labyrinthine library of obscure and forgotten books.
It is here that ten-year old Daniel is taken by his father and allowed to choose one book.
But why is someone after the book, why are all the titles by this author being bought up and destroyed?
Set in Barcelona in the immediate aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruis Zafon is part existential mystery, part thriller, part love story, but above all a well written very powerful novel.
Picked up from The Deli in North Camp, then passed on to a friend.
