Sending this along as a RABCK. Enjoy!
I started reading this last week and realized pages 25 and 26 were missing--must be off having adventures of their own! Luckily, Amazon's Kindle preview ended at page 26, so I was able to recreate the missing pages, print them out, and do a little emergency repair of the binding. Hopefully it will hold up through the next 300 pages and beyond for the next reader.
Well, the repair job held up pretty well through the next 300 pages, if I do say so myself. It was so lovely to visit Lansquenet—the French village from "Chocolat"—again, and run into some old friends. This book has a lot of the same magical qualities as "Chocolat" and I quite enjoyed it.
Looking up how to spell "Lansquenet" led me to Joanne Harris's website and this interesting background info about the book.
