Yay! Caught today, thanks so much thursoexile!
My last Dan Brown TBR. Never thought I would like the genre but I really enjoyed his other books.
You will here from me!

It took me more than 11 years since thursoexile sent the book to me, but yesterday I FINALLY managed to finish The Da Vinci Code!
Somehow, over these past years I lost my interest in thrillers. But last year I read St. Paul's Labyrinth by Jeroen Windmeijer, the "Dutch Dan Brown". My brother-in-law read that book and recommended it to me, because the story is situated in Leiden in The Netherlands, where I live, and author Jeroen Windmeijer himself as well.
Reading St Paul's Labyrinth made me realise I never actually read The Da Vinci Code and right after I finished the book by Jeroen Windmeijer I started reading The Da Vinci Code.
It was gripping, right from the start, but it took me some time to finish it, because I found it way to scary! I had to persuade myself again and again to read on and didn't dare to read at night, haha. Maybe it has to do with getting older, because I can't remember I thought Dan Brown's other books equally scary.
To me it was a good read. Clever and plotted and eloquently written. I can imagine it stirred up a lot when it first came out.
Many thanks to you thursoexile, for sending me the book, back in 2007! I will release it again soon; the book must be longing to travel again 😊
