I loved this trilogy! Time for this book to be RABCK'ed!

Found in my letterbox this morning as I was leaving for work. Many thanks, teuffi - I can finally finish reading the trilogy!

A very satisfying wrap-up of an incredibly complex trilogy.
It was interesting reading it in view of the recent flurry of controversy over these books, with various groups accusing them of being anti-Christian. I suppose they are, but in the same way that I am myself - I have no problem with people who have faith (in whatever higher being or state), but I do have a problem with people who use their faith as an excuse for mis-deeds, or for not making the most of this life because they're relying on a better one to come. And that I think is the point that Pullman is making in destroying "heaven" in these books - make the most of this world, because there may not be another one.

Picked this up at Trattorie Cafe this afternoon, along with a few others. Haven't read the whole series yet, so this one's definitely going in Mt TBR (somewhere near the top I think).
