Hedda Gabler (Dover Thrift Editions)
3 journalers for this copy...
Not my favorite Ibsen play (That would have to be "Gjengangere" [Ghosts]), but "Hedda Gabler" is pretty solid, too. Enjoy, enjoy! If anyone would like to read it, drop me a line in the next few days and I will send it on to you, otherwise, I'll release it somewhere in Montreal.
Well, moogytee PM'ed me first for this so it looks like Hedda's heading to California!

Just received in the mail today. Thanks, Egveitikkje! And it is, indeed, sunny today.
Hedda Gabler returns from her honeymoon to discover that not only has she married a man she doesn't love, but also his prospects aren't as good as she had thought. And rising to fame is ... her former admirer.
Full of little mysteries and very mean deeds, this is a fun little play to read.

Nobody picked this up at the Meetup, so I brought it back home and will release it or trade it elsewhere. I think people are put off by plays as reading material, but I find them fun.

I am very interested in this play, thank you very much! I have Norweigan ancestry, so Ibsen is interesting to me. Also, I have read A Doll's House, (and loved it!). I also am a feminist and love stories about women. And in contrast to a journal entry made above, I study literature (well, Spanish literature) and of all the genres (poetry, novel, short story, etc.) drama is my absolute favorite. And to top it all off, it is a Dover Thrift edition, so it looks small and easy to read quickly. (Sometimes the sheer number of pages is daunting to me). So although this is not at the very top of my TBR list, it will be read shortly and reviewed thereafter. Thanks so much!
