True History of the Kelly Gang
4 journalers for this copy...

The first hand account of Ned Kelly and the Kelly Gang's "reign of terror" over Victoria, Australia.

I got this for my hubby, but he said he couldn't get into it due to the writing style.
I happened to notice Geishabird's personal challenge to read all the books that won/were nominated for a Man Booker prize. This is the winner for 2001 and is not on her list of ones already read. Soooooo - Hope this helps you add one more to the "Books I've read list". Happy Reading!

Thanks very much! As it happens, I haven't read this one yet and so I'm very pleased to receive it. I've heard great things about it.

I really enjoyed this book. An excellent, fast-paced adventure story that maintains a gritty sense of realism throughout. A fascinating take on the historical events surrounding the real Ned Kelly and his exploits. Thanks very much for sharing this.

I happened to see the book lying on a bench. I had a look at it because it's not often that you see a book just lying around. Once I saw the label on it I was quite intrigued and picked it up. I intend to read it. I often buy Booker prize winners although I sometimes give up on them. What a great idea for a book club!

I am staying in a teeny tiny little village in Essex, UK. It is an old mill by the side of a river. I am only here for one night on business. When I got into my room I found a lovely friendly little book for me to read. The friendly little book and I are off to sit by the river in the sunshine with a glass of pimms. The friendly little book said he would like to come and see where I live so we will go home tommorrow and see where his adventure takes him...........
