Brasyl (Gollancz S.F.)

This book has parts that remind me of, in no particular order, the writings of Neal Stephenson, William Gibson and Peter Hamilton. And throw in a bit of The Matrix movies.
It is vast, covering three different timelines and the setting is in one of the "multiverses", with some of the characters able to travel between these multiverses.
It appears that one of the ramifications of quantam physics is that there could be an almost infinite number of parallel universes. Brasyl takes it a bit further and makes the protagonists part of a multiverse simulation on a quantam computer. At least I think that's what's happening.
Possibly the author has bitten off more than he can chew. Too much Brazialan slang. I had to keep going back and forward to the glossary.
Really nice cover.
