from alibris.com:
Edna, the Dowager Marchioness of Carados, has seen better days. Just when her son was about to be married to a lovely girl, she finds another woman in his bed - and this one's a corpse. Edna's beside herself, but she has the presence of mind to bring the corpse to Albert Campion, sleuth extraordinaire.

I enjoyed this book, like all of Allingham's books.

Arrived today, and I just realized that this came from you, dancing-dog! We just traded! :)

...And hitting the button before I meant to...The bookstring is also very pretty!

I did enjoy this! I've been sick with a nasty virus for the past few days, and Mr. Campion has been just the company I needed. I do feel badly for him, getting mixed up in all of this nonsense when all he really wanted was a holiday in the country. I could do with one of those, myself.

I took this one out of Carlissa's mystery/thriller bookbox. Allingham is a favorite of mine and I don't think I've read this one. Traded one of my Allingham's for it!
