Who would think you could be a working film actor and live in Austin, TX? Yet Perella has worked with the likes of Kevin Costner, Clint Eastwood, and Ren‚e Zellweger. When companies film on location in Texas, Perella is there. Never mind that most of his roles are along the lines of "Starbucks Guy" (Miss Congeniality), "Good Ol' Boy in Pickup" (Home Fries), and others such as "Reporter #2" or "Townsperson." Yet it is not an easy life; Perella describes a time when he had auditions in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio all in one day and had to be back in Austin for a theater role that night. Still, he seems to be enjoying himself. His anecdotes about such famous folks as Ned Beatty, Oliver Stone, and Meg Ryan, among others, are revealing. This title offers a well-written, very funny look into the life of a working actor whom no one has ever heard of. Purchase if funds allow.

Found at the "Secret Book & CD Store" (or something) in Dublin. Really made me laugh at times....and there is one referrence to my very favorite actor Tim Roth, as well - and a positive one at that!

I thought it is interesting to read the view from an actor who is successful but unknown... I do hope it will be fun to read it.

Easy to read stories about film sets, stars and no name actors. It is good, that some actors are not too keen on living in Hollywood but want to be married for decades and enjoy their private lives... I enjoyed the insight into the no name actors' professional live.

I was attending an international sales training with my company and someone left it on a table in the 'coffee break' area. I am almost finished reading it and trying to figure out the best strategic place to drop it again. The book is not one I would have picked up at the bookstore, so it is quite interesting that I was able to read it through this bookcrossing system.

I spent a very enjoyable moment reading this book. It is a very refreshing look at the movie business and the struggle of someone not wanting to leave their hometown to make it big in business, and so doing all the sacrifices that go with it. Some anecdotes are unbelievable and I recommend it to anyone who likes the movie industry.
