Like all of Jodi Picoult's books, this is a tense family drama. There is nothing particularly wrong with it. It's certainly engaging and helped pass the time on a very long train ride, but all her books are starting to feel the same to me. I'm afraid she's writing the same story over and over, just with different characters and circumstances.
