This play was required reading for a course I took in college that examined the role of animals in various forms of literature. It's a wonderful play that explores the roles of and relationships between women on an Ojibway reservation in Ontario. The author has a superb handle on women's issues and feelings, presenting both with great honesty and humor. This play is also the source for one of my favorite scatological insults of all time: "(You're) so fulla s**t (you'd) need five toilets to get it all out."
