This is a bleak, dark, sad,and depressing book, but many readers have commented that it is a good reminder of how lucky we all are now and how much in life we take for granted. This author shows a very well depicted pessimistic view of the world at its very worst.
I have to say that I thought this book was horrifying and I wasn't entertained in the least while reading it.
