Aus der Amazon-beschreibung:

Arriman the Awful, Loather of Light and Wizard of the North, needs a wife. How else can he have a wizard baby to carry on the family tradition of blighting and smiting, blasting and wuthering? The problem is, wizards can only marry one kind of person--a witch. Arriman dreads the thought. "A great black crone with warts and blisters in unmentionable places from crashing about on her broom! You want me to sit opposite one of those every morning eating my cornflakes?" But a witch it must be, so Arriman holds a contest to decide which witch. The local witches are all atwitter over what spell they'll perform for the contest--all except Belladonna, who is, to her great shame, a white witch. She looks rather like the girl on the Clairol Herbal Essence bottle, with a sweet face and flowing blonde hair. "There was usually something in Belladonna's hair: A fledgling blackbird parked there by its mother while she went to hunt for worms, a baby squirrel wanting somewhere safe to eat its hazel nuts, or a butterfly who thought she was a lily or a rose."

A book both funny and romantic; I enjoy it very much. :-)

shame - on - me.
I really liked the book, a lot more than Platform 13 :-)

Arrived today, thanks a lot! I'm looking forward to reading this and promise I won't be too long...

Journal Entry 9 by Qantaqa from Dachau, Bayern Germany on Wednesday, January 2, 2008
I finished the book sometime last week. It was a nice enough read, quite entertaining with lots of funny parts. Not a book I'd ever consider reading twice, though.
Tomorrow, I'm going to send the book to Jessi626.

Journal Entry 10 by Jessi626 from Otterberg, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Monday, January 14, 2008
The book arrived during the last week, thanks. It's waiting for me at my parents' house. At the moment I'm in the Netherlands, I'll be back and able to read the book in February.

Journal Entry 11 by Jessi626 from Otterberg, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Monday, February 18, 2008
The book is easy and fun to read. I read it in one go and I like the story. I didn't expect the ending while I was reading the book. But now that I think of it, it was pretty obvious, especially after having read another book of this author ("The Sercret of Platform 13").

Hat am 3.3. die Heimreise angetreten.
