Densely packed with symbolism. There is a companion book in existence that has approximately the same number of pages that explains all the symbolism in this book. Written primarily from the viewpoint of Leopold Bloom the book covers the course of a single day in the life of Bloom, his wife Molly, and the young Stephen Dedalus (seen elsewhere in Joyce's writings) in a weighty 933 pages.

Not recommended as light reading!
