Poetry so good, it hurts.
If you have found this book, I hope you love Brian Patten's poems as much as I do. Please leave a note saying which you liked best. I can't decide on just one... they all haunt me in different ways. At an absolute push, I'd opt for A Small Dragon (on a wistful day), Park Note (on a heart-broken day) or The Stolen Orange (on an almost optimistic day.)

I picked the book up at the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank where Brian Patten and Roger McGough were doing a reading of their poems. The reading was excellent, and getting the book was a lovely surprise. I hope the next person enjoys it to!
