First, I must say that I was thrilled to discover that not only was this a paranormal romance but an interracial one as well! The exposition on the history of the vampire clans was fascinating. I was also intrigued by the use of a deaf, mute protagonist and the usage of sign language throughout the story.
Some romance readers might miss a downtrodden and abused hero ... But Brandon Noble is very young and helpless and seems to spend most of the book being passive, searching for his way in a brand-new world - which endearded him to me and I even enjoyed the romance this time round ;)

I really love the fresh ideas, telling Brandon''s story in back flashes, the action and with this cliff-hanger as an ending I hope to see this developing into a series (or a sequel, please)!!
