Had to bring this home from the meetup for MrPloppy... and of course had to read it myself. I'm not sure if my favourite invention is the special socks for your cat to wear which dust the furniture as it walks around, or the device to hide a fish's head while you're cutting it so you don't feel squeamish. Or maybe the portable zebra crossing...

No, FutureCat ... the bestest invention is the "Vertigo Soothing Glasses". Brilliant brilliant concept. You too can lose your fear of heights by wearing a pair of goggles with sand in it to fill in that large hole in the ground or edge of building/whatever which you're tentatively coming up to.

Or is it the Ten in One Gardening tool ... a swiss pen knife of sorts but with spade, fork, hoe etc attachments ... who knows?? Portable but not at all portable. Again brilliant idea.

Anyway completely wonderful book. Who knew the Japanese had such a British sense of humour??

Now all i have to do is send in the idea for my invention, Silly Phlegm (its like Silly String but with phlegm instead) and i could be famous too ...

(oh and of course theres "Grand Central Monkey" ... its a Monkey in the shape of Grand Central Station in New York ...)

Discuss ...

This book is ful of crazy, funny ideas.
Some might work, in particular the Straight-in-the-pan chopping board.
The rest are just weird.
I mean, really now, will she always need a man about to lay down the portable zebra crossing?? And who rolls it up again??
They like using umbrellas a lot, or footwear.
I will see if R wants to read through it, then it will be released.
