A great novel by Michael Crichton - this is about a swarm of tiny AI robots who turn on humans. As always, the science tends to get a bit boggy, if only it was incorporated into the story more, instead of feeling like a undergraduate science lecture. But it's still a fast-moving and scary story.

Cheers RockDg9 - it's been a while since I read any Crichton! I seem to remember ALL his books feel a bit like undergraduate science lectures! We'll see how this one is...

This story was AAAAAWFUL slow to start, beware! Once it got going, though, it was okay. Crichton likes to lay the science on you heavy, but this isn't as bad as, say, Jurassic Park, and I think the suspense and mystery of the story saves it from being a "textbook" too much. Darn scientists!
