From the Publisher
Weddings are never easy. But when you're Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor, they can become downright deadly...

In the days leading up to The Big Day, Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor seems to have a full house and the wedding guests have yet to arrive. Along with her human buddies, there's a ghost, a werewolf, and a Fiend crashing at her place. And though her fiance, Vampire King Eric Sinclair, conveniently disappears when the conversation turns to seating charts and flower arrangements, he does manage to make his oh-so-sexy presence known at other moments.

Cold feet are no surprise, especially with an undead groom. But when Sinclair truly goes missing-and not just to avoid wedding preparations-along with most of her friends and loved ones, Betsy is frantic. Alone and afraid for the fate of everyone she loves, Betsy can't trust anyone as she tries to find them and whoever is behind all the disappearances. And what happens next will shake the foundation of the vampire world forever.

Loved this installment of the Undead series. After the disappointment of Undead & Unpopular I really enjoyed this book. Betsy is not nearly as shallow in this book but still is Betsy. lol MJD ties up a lot of loose ends and gives us a fun chapter in the life of Betsy the Vampire Queen.

I am going to offer this as a Bookray via BookObsessed & Club Vlad. Hopefully others will enjoy it as much as I did.

Oh gosh this was excellent. It is much better than the last two of MJD''s undead series. I zipped through this in one night. Sorry have had so long but things have been worse than crazy here It is in the mail to the next person. Thanks for letting me join.

Journal Entry 6 by EllyMae58 from El Cajon, California USA on Friday, August 31, 2007
I've already read this, but wasn't able to get in contact with terra57 to have her skip me.
I'll get it mailed back out to the next person sometime next week.

Oh, and by the way, it was better than other installments in the series, but I didn't think it was as great as everyone had been telling me. The brunt of the book is just Betsy, without her friends, and it made me realize that what makes the books funny are her interactions with her friends. Sorry, but Betsy alone is pretty damn boring.

This will be on the way to lemonitsa tomorrow, 9/07. Sorry it had to make an unnecessary pit stop in California.

Journal Entry 8 by Lemonitsa from Montréal, Québec Canada on Thursday, September 13, 2007
Betsy arrived today for her visit. :)

It will be a couple of days until she is over her jetlag and after that we should have some fun!

I'll tell you all about it when she departs.

Journal Entry 9 by Lemonitsa from Montréal, Québec Canada on Friday, September 21, 2007
I enjoyed the banter between Betsy and the wolves. :) And my honest opinion is that Betsy 'talks' too much. LOL A fun and quick read, it's good for those days where you want to be alone with your books and laugh.

This afternoon I mailed Undead and Uneasy to Musie, so it should arrive by the end of next week.

Cheers.

received today! can't wait to sink my teeth into this one. ;) I must now and go remove from my wishlists. Thanks for sending it this way lemonitsa.

Whoops! I didn't realize Musie was sending this to me as I picked up a copy through PaperBackSwap so I didn't have to feel stressed about this. I've still got to read the previous book in this series, which is still waiting here on Mt. TBR so when I came up for it on PBS, I jumped at the chance to help ease the burden on my owed TBRs. ;)

Anyhoo, this is supposed to go on to Hoser and Ace next, though I'd also told Lauren that I'd send her my copy of the previous book along with this, so I may still have to try to cram that one into my reads before this one goes off to her anyway, if she hasn't yet picked up a copy elsewhere.

To make a long story short... :D I'll know better after I talk to Lauren when this will be getting in the mail to her, or if it needs to wait for me to at least read Undead and Unpopular first to send along with. Actually, when I just went to check on the name of the book, I realized that the reason I haven't read it yet is because I wanted to read the 2 werewolf ones—Dead and Loving It and Derik's Bane—first since I'd heard that the werewolves and Betsy meet in the Unpopular one. LMK if this isn't the case...

UPDATE 10/22/07: After talking to Lauren, she does still need Undead and Unpopular first so I'm going to hang on to this for a bit to get that read first and send it along with this one. Actually, I just started on Derik's Bane today, to get the necessary werewolf background in since they appear in these later Betsy books. :)

Mailing this off to Lauren along with an RABCK copy of Undead and Unpopular, the previous book which she hadn't read yet. Mailed 06-Feb-2008 via USPS Priority Mail International.

Journal Entry 13 by HoserLauren from Burlington, Ontario Canada on Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Received today from Cherie. Cherie has also been kind enough to provide me with the book before this so that I can get caught up on Betsy's escapades.

Good thing it is reading week next week! I should be able to read this very quickly then I'll pass it along.

Thanks!

Book 6 (and until March, the most recent) in the Undead series. This one is quite different from the rest as Betsy finds herself alone. Jessica and Nick are at the hospital, Tina is in Europe, and Sinclair, Marc, Antonia, and others are no where to be found. Past books have focused on the interaction between Betsy and her friends/family. This one is more on Betsy trying to reason where everyone is and coming to sense with herself and her situation. There are still interactions (and they are entertaining at that!) but this is a Betsy book!

While I've enjoyed the last couple of books, I didn't find them as entertaining as the first one. I think this book picked up the pace a bit more. I wonder what's next for Betsy though, now that she's finally married!

I'm in the USA right now so I'll give this to my mom when I'm back home.

This book is with me now

This book was better than the last one. MJD picked up the pace. Betsy is on the verge of finally being wed to the Vampire King, Sinclair. Plans are progressing nicely until everyone disappears or is killed. Betsy's father and stepmother are killed in an auto accident and she is now guardian of BabyJon. Sinclair is just not around. Her best friend is in the hospital fighting cancer.

Betsy must handle things by herself. She deals with fiends, werewolves and a few very unfriendly vampires. I found this book a bit faster paced, due to the increase in action. Still Betsy is a vampire bimbo. She is the vampire Queen but at times she just is so dumb.

a fluff book :)
