The second "Incarnation of Immortality" and a weak successor to "On a pale horse".
Unfortunately, the author seems too taken with his original idea and struggles to carry it on as per concept.
Instead of being original as the first book of the series, this one is just predictable, and where the predecessor was funny, "Hourglass" is just trying to be politically instructive on themes like environment, pollution, overpopulation, without bringing any new insight, though.
