There was a book sale with thousands of titles, all new books, for irrestible prices. I seldom buy new books, but this was just too hard to stay away from. I feel like a hamster, scurrying home toppling over with a load of treasures. This is one of them.

Groot Deventer Dictee
I took this book from Het Groot Deventer Dictee. It is the first time I caught a Bookcrossing book. I will definitely be going to read it soon, and I am already looking forward to releasing it again!
This was the first Bookcrossing-book I came across. I doubt if I would ever have picked this book from a bookstore or from the library, but that's the fun of Bookcrossing: getting in touch with books that you would otherwise have missed.
I enjoyed the 'experimental' composition of some of the stories. Especially the last story is surprising, even in its layout. I think that the story 'Manners of Dying' will stay in my mind from some time, because it's kind of disturbing in some way.
I just found out that two of the stories have been adapted to a film. Well, probably I will see them some day.
I read the book while commuting by train between Deventer and Zwolle. When I finished it, I left it on a table in train-unit 8664. I am very anxious to receive a message that the book has been caught (and registered) by someone else!
