There was a book sale with thousands of titles, all new books, for irrestible prices. I seldom buy new books, but this was just too hard to stay away from. I feel like a hamster, scurrying home toppling over with a load of treasures. This is one of them.

I think I read all of Roddy Doyle's novels. This book is about the life of his parents. I can't wait.

How very different it was, from his novels. It is not about his parents, it is the voice of his parents, about their own life. Quite an interesting piece of historial journal, I'd say, but a bit too much Irish politics for someone overseas and in a different century.
This book can travel to a new reader.
