I'm a fan of one of Tepper's other novels, Beauty, but haven't read any of her others yet. This is a hardback ex-library copy I picked up at a sale.

Finally got around to reading this one. The only other Tepper novel I've read is Beauty, which I enjoyed immensely. However, I wasn't sure if any of her other novels were good... and I won't lie, I was a bit dubious about Shadow's End because the cover art is really bad. It looks like a typically cheesy and cliche run-of-the-mill sci-fi novel. But Tepper did not disappoint - this book was wonderfully written, original, and engaging. I love the environmental undertones in her work. The ending was especially moving. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep this one in my permanent collection or cross it to somebody.
