I found this thoroughly engrossing. What would happen if four journalists selected to ask the questions at a televised debate between presidential candidates find out some damaging information about one of the candidates just before airtime? Although this is fiction written more than 10 years ago, the characters seem to be very much alive. Lehrer knows the intricate machinations of the political world and the power of television. This is a terrific read, one that seems chillingly real today.
