Sara Linton, medical examiner in the small town of Heartsdale, is called out to an apparent suicide on the local college campus. The mutilated body provides little in the way of clues - and the college authorities are keen to avoid a scandal - but for Sara and police chief Jeffrey Tolliver, things don't add up. A thriller with a female medical examiner as heroine, and a plot centering around a series mof killings on a college campus. Its only in the final few chapters that we begin to suspect who the killer is, then the ere's a final twist at the very end. A real page turner.
